          As a native Texan, I returned to Texas after working for the military and the White House.  My wife and I settled into the City of New Braunfels over a decade ago as we both fell in love with this great beautiful city, its beautiful people, and its postcard quiet charm.  We loved everything about this city.  Fast forward to today --- Our traffic is horrible!  Our population is booming at an excessive rate – too much, too fast!  The life blood, the natural resources and infrastructure in this city cannot handle this type of growth.  It's not working.  The people of this city do not like this onslaught of massive unrelenting unstoppable growth.  We need Common Sense Growth!  Something must be done!  I am not against growth, it will happen.  You can't stop it.  We just need to do it with some Common Sense!  We have to do it smartly!

           Our natural resources are depleting!  We are a deficit city concerning water!  The heart of Landa Park, its natural artesian springs, is drying up!  New Braunfels is hurting and running out of water!  We need a massive plan to bring water back into our city!  Our current leadership in City Hall, unfortunately, fails to recognize this problem and to help be the solution!  The concerns of the citizens rank dead last as our leadership in City Hall fails to listen to US!

          Our Police officers are not financially supported and are currently undermanned by over 113 officers. This is compared to the U.S. national average of a city containing 125,000 people, and that's not including the 3 to 4 million tourists traveling here each and every year!  Our police currently have no place for weapons training, they need newer vehicles, and they need better communication equipment.  We desperately need a Crime Control Prevention District (CCPD) to support our police officers with about $5 million dollars more each year!

          We need a change in the culture within City Hall as our current leadership is treating us with damaging disrespect!  The Citizens Must Come First!  The citizens of New Braunfels are hurting and DO NOT WANT this type of IRRESPONSIBLE GROWTH!  No one is Listening to US!  The City is not listening to YOU!  I Will Listen to YOU and YOU will be the ones in charge of what happens to YOUR CITY!

          I am not a developer, a lawyer, or a landowner.  I have nothing to gain, except for bettering our city.  I will never let YOU down! Give me three years and I will help make an impact!!

          I want to keep New Braunfels as a Charming Hallmark town and not transformed into a failed future emulating that of Austin or San Antonio!  I will be diligently vigilant in squelching our current irresponsible and out of control growth!  I Love New Braunfels, its Beauty, its Charm, and its People!​
