ABOUT MICHAEL A. FRENCH

          I was born in Texas!  I was Made in Texas!  I Love this City!  I come from a family of veterans three generations deep.  My grandfathers fought in World War II.  My father served in the U.S. Coast Guard for 36 years.  Two of my brothers served in the U.S. Air Force.  I am a U.S. Army Veteran of 17 years and I was medically honorably discharged from an injurious. 

          During my military service I deployed to Central and South America devoting my early years performing Humanitarian missions and serving very poor communities and countries.  I served for six years in the White House as "the voice of the President" providing multiple forms of secure communications to the President, the Vice President, the First Lady, the United States Secret Service, and the White House Staff.  I traveled to over 46 counties.  It was a great honor to be in that position.  I then worked as an intelligence analyst for the Pentagon for six years.  During my Pentagon time, I deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan a total of five and a half years.  I traveled to over 15 Forward Out Bases (FOB) in Iraq and over 22 FOBs in Afghanistan.  It was an honor to serve alongside our great worriers in the dangerous "red zones", the war-zones.  I received an honorable medical discharge from injuries sustained during my service.  I have seen a lot of things. 

          My wife and I settled into the City of New Braunfels over a decade ago as we and I fell in love with this Great Beautiful City, its Beautiful People, and its postcard quite charm.  We love everything about this city!  Fast forward to today --- Our Traffic is Horrible! Our Population is Booming at an excessive rate – too much, too fast!  The life blood; the natural resources and infrastructure cannot handle this type of growth.  It's not working.  The people of this city do not like this onslaught of massive unrelenting unstoppable growth.  Something must be done!  This is where I come in!

 

          I am not a developer, a lawyer, or a landowner. I have nothing to gain. I will never let YOU down! Give me three years! What have you got to lose?

 

          I want to keep New Braunfels a Charming Lovely Hallmark town and not a failed future emulating that of Austin or San Antonio! I will be diligently vigilant on squelching our current irresponsible and out of control growth! I Love New Braunfels, its Beauty, its Charm, and its People!
